The wallpaper calculator uses the following formula:

Perimeter = 2 × (Length + Width)

Usable Perimeter = Perimeter - Openings Width

Strips Needed = ⌈Usable Perimeter / Roll Width⌉

Effective Strip Length = Height + Pattern Adjustment

Strips per Roll = Roll Length ÷ Effective Strip Length

Rolls Needed = ⌈(Strips Needed + 1 Reserve) / Strips per Roll⌉

Pattern Matching: For straight match, height is rounded up to nearest pattern repeat. For half-drop, rounded to nearest half repeat.

Reserve Strip: We add 1 extra strip for safety and future repairs.
