The concrete calculator uses the following formula:
For Slab: Volume = Area × (Thickness / 1000) m³
For Foundation: Volume = Perimeter × Width × Height m³
Dry Volume = Volume × 1.15 (shrinkage factor)
Cement = Dry Volume × (1 / Total Ratio) × Cement Density
Sand = Dry Volume × (Sand Ratio / Total Ratio) × Sand Density
Gravel = Dry Volume × (Gravel Ratio / Total Ratio) × Gravel Density
Water = Cement Mass × 0.5 (W/C ratio)
Standard Grades: M100 (1:3:5), M150 (1:2.5:4), M200 (1:2:4), M250 (1:1.5:3)
Shrinkage Factor: We use 1.15 to account for air voids and compaction during mixing.
